The incumbent is part of the warranty and technical support team whose responsibilities are the successful implementation of the Cameron Compression warranty policy and to provide technical support to customers as well as internal operations.. This position administers the technical and administrative support systems required to provide Cameron customers, Cameron Chinese manufacturing operations and Cameron personnel with professional and timely technical support as needed. The incumbent is also responsible for the development/ maintenance of Service bulletins, and other technical papers as needed to support Far East operations. This position is also responsible for administering warranty claims from authorized service providers. The position requires an effective working relationship with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other Cameron departments/functions related to technical support. The incumbent must be technically knowledgeable, conscientious, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. The incumbent must exhibit strong product knowledge, and have a good understanding of engineering, manufacturing and testing processes PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provide technical support as needed to all Cameron manufacturing operations, customers, distributors and representatives.
Administer authorized warranty claims. Participate in regional trade and technical shows in support of Cameron Compression products. Develop and maintain Service bulletins and other technical papers. Provide direct technical support for personnel in China, Singapore and other Far East locations. Provide training and instruction as required and requested. Perform additional duties as required. NATURE & SCOPE: A strong technical knowledge of centrifugal compressors, including design, manufacturing and applications are essential.The incumbent must be knowledgeable with the major components/modules of centrifugal compressors including the gearbox, lubrication system, intercoolers, controls, and accessories. As required, the incumbent will assist in troubleshooting problems in the field which may include traveling to the job site. The incumbent may also be required to conduct “root cause” problem analyses.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers, suppliers, and customers is essential. Computer literacy is essential and a working knowledge of SAP/R3 is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS: Education:A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent is required with additional experience in manufacturing, technical support and engineering desirable. Experience:A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with centrifugal compressors or rotating equipment is required. Centrifugal compressor technical knowledge and experience are essential. The ability to prepare written technical communications and/or instructional experience are preferred. Demeanor:Highly motivated self starter with adept analytical and problem solving skills; Good communicator, penchant for details; team player able to work independently as needed. . | ||||||||||||||||||
